Combine all ingredients in a microwave safe mug. Microwave for 1 minute and 30 seconds; stir. Strain off liquid into a clean mug. Garnish with a whole cinnamon stick, if you wish.

Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan and bring to a simmer; strain.
Stir in a drizzle of honey or agave, if you desire a little sweetness.
