MICROWAVE
Place all ingredients but the honey in a microwave safe cup or bowl. Microwave for one minute and 30 seconds. Stir and strain off liquid into a clean mug. Stir in the honey.
Optional: Garnish with orange slices, apple slices, cranberries, and additional spices.
Having a party? Increase the recipe ingredients to make a big batch (plan on 1 cup per guest). Instead of microwaving, place the mulling spice mix in a muslin bag and add to a large saucepan or Dutch oven with the wine, whiskey and orange juice. Simmer mixture until steaming hot but do not boil. Turn off the heat and stir in honey and nutmeg to taste. Cover and let rest for 2-3 minutes. Remove spice bag and serve.
